Keep in Step
Galatians 5:22-26 - 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, 23 goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The law is not against such things. 24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
Who is the Holy Spirit and how do we “Keep in Step”
Galatians 4:4-7 - 4 When the time came to completion, God sent his Son, born to a woman, under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. 6 And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba, Father!" 7 So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then God has made you an heir.
John 14:25-26 - 25 "I have spoken these things to you while I remain with you. 26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you.
Keep In Step
1. He is our friend- To talk with and walk with you all through your day.
2. He is our Counselor- To give you guidance and advice in the small and the big.
3. He is our Advocate- He is there to fight for you, when you can’t do it yourself!!
Keep in Step… that implies that effort is needed on our part.
